Privacy Policy

A plain-English explanation of what I collect, why I collect it and the control you have over it.

Who I am

Crafted Web is a one-person web design studio run by me. This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use this website or work with me, why I collect it, and what your rights are.

This page is maintained by Crafted Web and describes my own practices. If anything here is unclear, please contact me and I'll explain it plainly.

Information I collect

When you submit the enquiry form I collect the details you choose to give me: your name, email address, business name (optional) and the message you write.

I do not ask for payment card details through this website, and I do not knowingly collect information from children.

How I use your information

I use the details you send to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to deliver and support your website.

I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising or send marketing emails you haven't asked for.

Legal basis

Where you contact me about a possible project, I process your details on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Where I need it, I rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Service providers

I use third-party providers for website hosting, domains and email in order to run my business. These providers process data on my behalf and only as needed to provide their service. I can tell you which providers are involved in your project on request.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, for my business records. If you ask me to delete your details and I have no legal reason to keep them, I will do so.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If I add analytics in the future, I'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact me using the form on this website. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with me, including using reputable hosting and email providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised date below.
